It’s official, I have a new photographer.

Meet Thalia.

I didn’t have someone to take my pictures but I have the most amazing, talented friends.

Thank you Thalia for offering to take my pictures and helping me with this project.

New stuff coming up!

The late post about my travel to Brussels =)

I didn’t really get to see the city. After a delayed connection flight and having to spend 8 hours at the airport in Amsterdam I got to Brussels and staid for only around 48 hours.

I was voted by the board as the new Membership officer, this means I am almost like a PR for IGLYO =)

Have I told you before how incredible this year is going to be?

The best.

Do you remember my friend Han Sen ?
He’s back in Malaysia and I miss him and his inspiring style.
Thank You for the contribution my friend.Love the colour co-ordination and the texture/print combination. =)

Preppy, Grey, Yellow and black.

I got this sweater from LYLE&SCOTT at a vintage fair on Saturday for 5£. I really like the yellow touch.

I’m also saying goodbye to my non self tie bow ties so I thought I could pay homage to them on a last shoot.

Thanks Thalia for being my photographer today. I know the lighting was strange and you really nailed it =)

Going to Brussels.
Remember I told you about being part of this incredible organization called IGLYO?
This weekend I’m going to Brussels for the board induction. This is a great city and I can’t wait to be part of this incredible team =)

 I do.
If you don’t know already, and are new to the blog (by the way, hello to the new followers, thanks for staying), You may not know that I am an LGBT activist and a volunteer in different LGBT organizations, locally, nationally and regionally.
I believe that by starting where I was, from my stand point helps me keep focus on why I do it. I am absolutely passionate about my volunteering. It pays no money but, I meet wonderful people, I get opportunities to develop wonderful projects, help people and see change from where I’m standing.
There is no use in thinking of what you can do with what you don’t have. Sometimes the resources are the people right next to you that have the same interests as you do. Sometimes that money for the weekly coffee with that group of friends can go to a cause and the coffee can be at someone’s place. Or if you are not an NGO type of person start with that friend that just needs to talk a little longer. Use something that you can do, that you are good at. I am good with words, so I usually talk, write emails, make phone calls, give support to those who can’t find words.
In my experience I’ve learned, there is no need to start big. By doing what I can I remember that my contribution may be little but if we all contribute a little that’s how we can achieve change.
So, yes I do. In difficult times giving to others reminds me that I also am valuable.

Lisbon last

Today was my last day in Lisbon. The weather was cool and the light grey. My company was calm and pleasant. A calm end of the day for a continuous few weeks of meetings and gatherings all over the country.

Thank you for accompanying me these days. I also wanted to say, HELLO new followers. I see you arriving, welcome to my journey and thank you for following.

P.s.The shirt I’m wearing is short and, I wasn’t wearing a belt. I had to fight the entire day with the shirt to keep it inside my pants. Most of the times it won the battle =)

Happy New Year

Although there was bad weather and, my usual walking didn’t happen. The new year’s party happened in a warm friendly environment.

I am spreading hopes that the new (western) year brings lots of good things to all of you =)

Thank you Ana (the girl in the dress) for the invitation. Porto is always an incredible city to me and the people, good friends.

Thank you!

Porto NYE!

Going to Porto for new year’s celebration. It was such a good year and the next one will be so full of opportunities and some more dreams coming true.

Hope you are all celebrating with close friends and/or family.

I’ll show you more of Portugal when I get back. It will be a new year then =)

Lisbon by night!

The perfect beginning to my afternoon, meeting an old friend Paula Ramos e Ramos @ garbags. Check them out!

Walking around this beautiful town, the hours just left my day into the night. Finding people talking on the streets, random strangers that became friends. African music on the streets and improbable dance partners.

So this post starts at the end of my day =)
